This paper presents the VOD2Live platform architecture developed by Agile Content for the adaptive deployment of linear FAST Channels from VOD assets and live streams. The paper discusses the challenges and trade-offs that were considered to support adaptive ingest, hot editing and/or substitution of these assets on an active FAST channel without the need for live transcoding.

In addition, a brief introduction to the automated content selection engine is provided based on collected user metrics, assets metadata and other related KPIs.
