The company reinforces its global consolidation and growth strategy by incorporating an executive with more than 20 years of international experience in business development to its team.
Bilbao, Spain – 21 September 2021: Agile Content, leading provider of video distribution and digital TV solutions, has appointed Alfonso Zapata, a former ING Direct executive, as its new Corporate Director.
With extensive experience in the digital banking sector, Alfonso joins Agile Content with the aim of driving the company’s international growth strategy. He will support finance, human resources, and legal activities, with a focus on promoting the integration of M&As, process improvements, and performance monitoring.

Alfonso has deep financial and legal knowledge that he’s applied throughout his broad career, as well as expertise in the development of companies in the European digital ecosystem. Highly connected to the world of technology and the digitalization of processes, Alfonso worked at ING for more than 20 years, occupying different executive positions including CEO and CFO of Spain, France, and Italy. He played an integral role in the launch and international expansion of ING Direct, pioneer in digital banking.

He holds a Bachelor´s degree of Business Administration by the Universidad Complutense of Madrid (Spain), a Bachelor´s degree in law by UNED (Spain), and a Master´s Degree in General Management by the INSEAD (France).
