  • In 2022, Agile Content also strengthens its balance sheet by reducing net financial debt by EUR 8.4 million, significantly increasing cash generation.
  • The company consolidates its solid position as a benchmark in the pay-TV and OTT services market with profitable and sustainable growth, with recurring revenues of 74.4%.
  • Agile Content is present with its technology in more than 50 million homes worldwide and provides Pay TV services through its platform to nearly 800,000 homes through its customers.

Bilbao, April 19th, 2023 – Agile Content, a listed company and provider of Internet TV and broadcasting solutions, announces the end of 2022, ratifying the consolidation process of the strategy established by the company to consolidate its position in the pay-TV and OTT market.

Agile Content’s audited results for 2022 show an upward trend, both in operational and economic-financial terms, debt evolution and cash generation.

The technological company, based in the Basque Country and with a global presence, has closed the 2022 financial year exceeding 100 million euros in turnover for the first time thanks to the positive evolution of the business. This figure represents an 84.8% growth in revenue compared to 2021 (28.6% on a comparable perimeter) and means achieving the objective of competitive scale in the market segment in which it operates.

“As a result, and harvesting the fruits of the integrations of the companies acquired in 2021, Agile Content reinforces this growth rate on the basis of 74.4% recurring revenues resulting from both inorganic growth due to the acquisitions made and the organic growth of the activity itself,” said Alfredo Redondo, CEO of Agile Content, “We have doubled EBITDA to 10.3 million euros with an improvement in efficiency and materialising part of the synergies from the acquisitions of new businesses and companies made in 2021.”

The company’s improved results have also led to a year-on-year boost of +4.8 million euros in operating cash flow from a negative €1.2 million in 2021 to a positive €3.6 million in 2022. It also improves its financial position with the reduction of net financial debt to €20.3m, a positive change of 29% compared to 2021.

Agile Content’s organic growth of 28.6% at year-end 2022, combined with its significantly improved EBITDA, reinforces, and demonstrates the potential of its strategy to consolidate operations and technology in an atomised European market. The strategy combines the development and operations of a common shared infrastructure that provides scalability benefits to video and telecoms provider partners, while investments in its own technology ensure a competitive TV experience, speed, and flexibility to adapt to a rapidly expanding market.

Regarding acquisitions made in the past, the company successfully completed the integration of the company WeTek, acquired at the end of 2021. Its incorporation has helped the internationalisation of this division’s sales, where North America has become the main key market with this activity with 39% of turnover, compared to Spain with 24%.

“We are very pleased to see the company’s good results during 2022. Despite the challenges the market has presented in the last year, we continue to drive our strategy based on three solid pillars: organic growth, effective integration of our acquisitions and investment in key technologies for value generation,” commented Hernan Scapusio, President of Agile Content, “over the next five years, more than 80 million Europeans will adopt new fibre connections and our goal is that all those connections can be accompanied by an enriching TV service thanks to a technical solution that guarantees the best experience at an affordable price to contribute to the expansion of the market. “

In addition, last month, Agile Content was recognised in the Financial Times FT1000 ranking of Europe’s fastest growing companies, achieving fourth place in the telecommunications and media sector.
